If it’s removable, take it out and press (and hold down) the power button for around 15 seconds. Remove Battery: If your laptop is actually plugged in and yet it is still not charging, the battery might be the culprit. The motherboard actually sends communication signals across the power cable to the adapter and if it does not get a response from a small chip on the adapter, it will not charge. In some cases, even if the aftermarket adapter does provide enough amperage, it still might not work because the laptop has a proprietary charger. If you turn it off and leave it plugged in overnight and when you come back it is fully charged this is most certainly the case. Most likely you are using an adapter that did not come with that laptop and it is of a lower amperage than what is needed to be able to charge the battery and run the computer.
